Apache TX-1

I use a product called "Barkeeper's Friend". It is available at most supermarkets and is a powder like, say, "Ajax" cleaner. The cost is well under $5. Get the knob wet and then sprinkle on a little of the powder. Then scrub with a toothbrush. Rinse, and dry with paper towels.

I am in the process of restoring a TX-1, but the knobs have lost their shine, does anyone here knows how to bring them to life again??? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
