The diagram was "representative". I didn't count the turns when I "drew" it.

Well, those are what I ended up with, and they appear to work. I think the 
originals were something like 3.5 turns, and they were also smaller in 
diameter. I suspect that my coils and those smaller-diameter ones were 
about the same inductance....not that it is critical in this application anyway.
