Hi Sandy

Some quick on load off load measurements with a test meter will point you
in the right direction. The PA HT supply has a minimum load of around 29mA
due to the presence of the VR tube feed for the PA screens which would
provide a minimum load during key up conditions. The HT supply apparently has a
swinging choke to aid in minimising the voltage variation but you should
expect more the valve rectifiers than with solid state rectifiers.

I found a marked up HX10 manual at
 _http://www.northland-drifters.net/ND-downloads/MARAUDER%20MANUAL.pdf_
(http://www.northland-drifters.net/ND-downloads/MARAUDER%20MANUAL.pdf) which
might be helpful.
