Just a quick thanks to all who responded regarding the differences between 
the SB-110 and SB-110A.  I now know that mine is an SB-110A.  The confusion 
on the tubes (6AX8 vs 6AZ8) looks like it was a miss-print in the manual I 
have.  Now if I can just get it transmitting properly.  I have an HP-23 in a 
SB-600 speaker enclosure so can use the proper power supply instead of my 
"bench" supply.  Maybe that will make a difference in the performance.
