[Heath] EUW-24 (IM-18) ohms not working

Grrrrrr....I have been using this EUW-24 on my bench for some time know, 
and it was working extremely well.

The meter is identical with the IM-18 electronically.

Today, I wanted to use its "Ohms" function to check a couple of resistors, 
and it no longer works.

DC+, DC-, and AC works just like before.

The battery is good.

Shorting the tip of the probe to ground results in no movement of the meter 
at all.

I have tried this with two probes, both of which I know work.

Any simple ideas?
