Yea ... same here. I have TWO of the plain old BALUN units that I got for about 5 to 10 dollars each.I first saw them at my Elmer's home. He had two of them mounted on the side of his house to feed two dipoleswith 300 ohn TV twinlead. He had a DX 100 and an HQ 180 in the shack. I always wanted to duplicate hisshack, including the BALUNs and finally have been able to. HI HI. I just wish the BALUN would handle more thanabout 150 watts.

Even though I grew up 35-miles from the Heath plant on Hilltop Road in St. Joseph, Michigan (in LaPorte, Indiana), the mailing address was Benton Harbor, but the actual plant was on the south side in St. Joseph, I was never privileged to get one of the VERY rare "BALUM" units. Over the years, I have owned a couple of BALUN units and still have one.
Obviously, the person listing the BALUM was able to obtain one of them! Those BALUM units are just not found anywhere these days!

Glen probably had an "in".....the balums were only sold at certain
"by invitation only" meetings.
All the rif-raf got the garden variety baluns!!

That is the very rare balum! Now, the B-1 balun
generally goes for much less!

The
B-1 Balun must have the solid gold wire in
them?
