[Heath] 6146B Issues

I always found 6164A's and regular (non A or B) 6146's worked best in the
SB-102

 

6146B's didn't produce the same power as the 6146A's did.

 

My DX-60B didn't seem to care which flavor 6146 was in it

I seem to remember there are some pieces of Heathkit that are not
HAPPY-HAPPY-HAPPY with 6146B tubes.  Is this a myth or is there a list of
pieces that prefer to not see a 6146B?
