Hi,

I think "not as good" is a key. The DSP software that I am using lets me
see signals that I cannot hear because they are too far down in the
noise. I don't know that the software could copy them (CW) but some of
that software *can* copy certain digital signals that we cannot hear.
The thing is - makes it easier to avoid QRMing a QSO in progress. It
also helps me find a nearby "empty" spot to make a call. I don't think
the 620 is going to give us a picture with that much detail.

The 620s are not useless at all and for somebody who wants one in a
working Heath station it's the way to go. I am much more about *using*
radios and much less about "collecting". If I had one of the Heath rigs
that is kin to the 620 I would not be interested in letting it go. I
don't have one of those and don't expect to have. I have not really
decided to let mine go but I'll post here if decide to move it out of
here. I have a set of appropriate I.F. filters for a homebrew receiver
project. I might use it with said project.
