Since the VFO actually tunes backwards, the VFO coil is used to set the frequency at the high end of the dial (500 on the scale) and the variable capacitors are used to set the frequency at the low end of the dial.  The VFO, in the HW-101, is COMPLETELY different from the LMO used in the SB-Line.
The compression trimmer is the capacitor that is used to calibrate the frequency at the low end of the dial when the main tuning capacitor is at the 0 position on the scale.

What are the  procedures for adjusting VFO for the correct output. Which trimmer cap adjust the upper freq and which adjust the lower.
