Ken, I am sure you and the other people on this site know - that once an arc it forms a burned - carbon trail that of course is a conductor... what I have done in other situations is of course scrape it as best can be done and then use the old fashion 'Corona Dope" - but now Harbor Freight has what they call " liquid insulation"  - I found it to be good stuff and can 'solve' difficulties like you write.  Most recently vairac'd up a badly soldered and corroded HW 101 - it arc'd several places on the printed circuit board - did that method - solved the problem.

HP-10 mobile power supply for the HW or SB series transceivers fully functional and recently tested with a HW-12a. Several years ago the HV arced over on the output connector. Once arc tracked those connector will always do so. Therefore, on this unit the HV was brought out via a separate lead through a fuse holder to the radio connector. Manual and connection cables to the radio are included although quite short as the radio and PS were mounted close together in the mobile installation. $25.00 plus shipping - shipping weight about 7 lbs.

 

CI-1040 Timing light with manual. $10 plus shipping - shipping weight about 3 lbs.

 

CR-121 AM Clock Radio (think I have the correct model #) w/o manual. New power supply filter caps just installed. $12.50 plus shipping - shipping weight about 7 lbs.
