Doug...With the two resistors rplaced and with the wires still removed from the 
+ terminals of C-39 and C-40 ..Measure the voltages at those terminals. + 
terminal of C-39 should be about +735 VDC..The + terminal of C-40 will be about

340 VDC..If all is well with the power supply, with the power off and the line 
cord removed from the AC mains, measure the resistance of those removed wires 
to chassis ground. One will probably read close to zero ohms...Follow that wire 
by eye and VOM looking for the path to ground...Don't forget that those caps will hold a charge for up to 30 minutes after the power is off and the line cord removed from the AC mains, either let the bleeders do their job or short the caps out to discharge them before doing any work...NOW HEAR THIS!  PLEASE BE CAREFUL ...700+ VOLTS CAN BE LETHAL!!!!
