Heath SB-200 HF linear amplifier

The SB-200 uses a pair of Cetron 572B tubes, and operates
on 80 thru 10 meters. It may be used on SSB, CW, or digital
modes. This particular amplifier puts out up to 700 watts,
depending on band and drive power.

This SB-200 is different, however, in a good way. It is
actually an SBW-200, which means that it was factory wired.
Heath did a few different things when they factory wired it,
and obviously, you do not need to be concerned about errors
in the wiring or bad solder connections.

This one has had the filter capacitors replaced on a new
Harbach power supply board, which means it also has
heavier rectifier diodes. Meter protection diodes, and a
glitch resistor have also been added. It has Cetron tubes.

Cosmetically, it is in extremely nice condition. I can not
find a scratch on the case, although there is some slight
wear near the on-off switch.

This is a really nice amp! Paper work is included for $450,
plus shipping from Florida.
Pickup near Ocala Florida would be preferred, but it can be
shipped.

Matched pair of 572 B tubes

572 B tubes are used in the Heath SB-200 HF Amplifier.
This is a set of Taylor "Premium Grade Matched Tubes" from
RF Parts. They are new, in their original boxes. Since
these came from a silent key, I did remove them from the box
and test them in the above SB-200 for a couple minutes.
Other than that they are unused. $125 for the pair.

.
Heath Power Supply Cable:

This six foot long 8 conductor cable has a female
11 pin "octal" connector on one end, and a 15 pin
rectangular Jones plug on the other. My memory
says that this cable is used with the Heath HP-13
DC supply which is used to power the SB-100/101/102,
HW-100/101, and the HW single banders for mobile use.

This one looks fine. Only $20.

Resistors for high voltage metering:

Do you have a linear amplifier that has an
error in the high voltage reading? Maybe you do
not even know it has an error!

Heath used three 4.7 meg resistors in the SB-220/221
and also in the SB-200/201 amplifiers. Almost all
of these resistors are out of tolerance today, partially
because of their age, but also because their voltage
rating was exceeded.

I was able to obtain a quantity of new resistors that
are 4.7 Meg, 1% tolerance, 2 watt, and are rated to
handle the high voltage. This compares to the original
resistors furnished by Heath that were 4.7 Meg, 5%,
1 watt and about 400 volts.

Note that these can be used in any amp that uses the
4.7 Meg resistors -- not just Heath amps.
