Like I said- we've had these deployed in our live 130 channel MPEG2/4 network for several years now with no known issues.  No lab here.  ;)

Without IGMP snooping multicast will be treated as broadcast traffic, being forwarded to all ports (except the receiving one obviously), meaning a huge amount of traffic/pps in case you have multiple STBs on the switch. This could make your switch to go bonkers after a while, did you test this in your lab?

The switches do not have IGMP snooping, but our video and PC/Data networks physically separate, so it's not a problem for us.  We have 2 ports- either on our fiber ONT's or our DSL modems, one for video, one for data.
