The junos implementation of 802.3AD balances traffic across the member links
within an aggregated Ethernet bundle based on the Layer 3 information
carried in the packet. This implementation uses the same load balancing
algorithm used for per-packet load balancing.

Umar.

Subject: [j-nsp] M20 Aggregated Interface
Hello All,
I configured one aggregated interface (802.3ad trunk) using 2 Fast
Ethernet ports between the Juniper M20 and the Alteon ACE 180 switch.
The alteon switch is performing the load balance equally in both
links, but the juniper is using mainly one interface. Both links are working
fine, but i am in doubt about how the load is distributed.
Anybody know how the Juniper performs the traffic distribution over
802.3ad trunks?
Daniel
