Hi,
Try this method, I got it from
http://www.groupstudy.com/archives/juniper/200110/msg00151.html.
I hope it is what you are looking for.

Subject: [j-nsp] Password recovery on M40
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how to login via the console into a M40 when you
don't have the root password? (We got the M40 in an auction but realized
that we cannot login into it and we are in a bit of a mess now).
I will highly appreciate any suggestions or pointers.
Thanks a lot.
Alberto Alesina
