Has anyone successfully gotten the JUNOScript API (any version) to run
successfully under RedHat 9? I've been jumping through all sorts of hoops
trying to get this to work to no avail. (We do have a working copies on
RedHat 7.x boxes)
I've tried multiple versions of Perl (5.8.0, 5.8.1, 5.6.0, and 5.6.1),
multiple versions of the JUNOScript API (5.5 - 6.0), and multiple versions
of the prerequisites packages (both the versions that come in the Juniper
supplied tarball, and the latest versions of the packages). A 'make test'
for the JUNOScript API reports no problems.
I have run into several error messages, but this is the most common one
I've come across (and the one that seems to be happening furthest along in
the connection process). I can see the user login to my router, but see
nothing in the router logs other than that.
[root at ratt get_chassis_inventory]# perl get_chassis_inventory.pl
my-router.indiana.edu
. . .
ERROR[1]: recv failed: EOF
ERROR[2]: initial handshake with JUNOScript server failed
Any ideas?
Thanks!
