hello all,

i noticed a strange error on one of my m40s:

Jul  8 14:38:43 my-m40 fpc7 GE(7/3): Kchip 0 crc/fifo errors
Jul  8 14:38:45 my-m40 fpc7 last message repeated 2 times
Jul  8 14:38:46 my-m40 fpc7 GE(7/3): Kchip 0 crc/fifo errors
Jul  8 14:39:17 my-m40 fpc7 last message repeated 31 times
Jul  8 14:41:18 my-m40 fpc7 last message repeated 121 times
Jul  8 14:43:24 my-m40 fpc7 last message repeated 126 times

what makes this more curious to me, is that this interface is down.  i
wasn't able to find anything on this specific error on the web, so
perhaps someone on the list can share some insight as to what this
particular error means and if i should be worried.
