greetings,

I am in process of setting up SNMP for some E1 interfaces on an M20.

When I shut down the interface using the 'deactivate' command, there are 2 snmp events that get generated for the e1 interface. As a result I get 2 alarms in the SNMP manager for 2 different inteface index numbers.

The snmp interface index file on the Juniper also has two seperate indices for e1 interfaces as follows:

    57 "e1-0/2/1" 0 0 1;
    119 "e1-0/2/1" 0 1 1;

Can someone tell me what is the difference between 0 0 1 and 0 1 1 above?

Sorry if this sounds dumb but am new to SNMP stuff.
