No, you don't. The new SFP based GE PICs also support MAC accounting, and 
if you don't need the extra CoS features or the stack/rewrite 
functionality of the IQ PICs (formerly QPPs), the P(E)-GE-SFP is a _lot_ 
cheaper option for this use.
