Hi all,
For a long time I've had difficulty finding JUNOS problem reports when
searching for text like syslog messages. All too often I've searched
the problem reports and knowledge base and found nothing, but when I log
a JTAC case they come back with a problem report that matches my problem
- - and I feel like I've wasted their time. I thought that I'd try with
this case to see if it's just me or not.

If I'd come across this problem the text that I'd try searching the
problem reports for would be "atareadhdidentity" because it's the bulk
of the syslog message. In this case I know that the problem report
exists, and I even know that the synopsis of problem report (PR56203) is:
"atareadhdidentity error on the RE"
However, searching for the keyword "atareadhdidentity" using the simple
problem report search, the advanced problem report search, the simple
knowledge base search and the advanced knowledge base search yields
nothing at all except for "No problem reports retrieved" and "Please try
your search again - No KAs Retrieved", even though I know that PR56203
exists with "atareadhdidentity" in the synopsis.
Oh, and the links to the searches were:
https://www2.juniper.net/prsearch/simplesearch.jsp
https://www2.juniper.net/prsearch/advsearch.jsp
https://www2.juniper.net/kb/searchka.jsp
https://www2.juniper.net/kb/advsearchka.jsp
Has anybody else had this sort of problem with finding problem reports?
Can someone from Juniper comment? Am I using the search the wrong way?
Or is there a problem report about finding problem reports that I've
been unable to find? :-)
Cheers,
Alastair Galloway
