Is this for an initial install, upgrade or re-install ? If you've 
damaged both the flash and harddisk's content, you'll have to reboot the 
routing-engine with a flash-card in the external port. That flash-card 
should contain the install media image found on the jnpr site.

If you still have a valid running system you can either choose to install 
the 'jbundle-*' or 'jinstall-*' files after you ftp'ed or scp'ed these 
files to your router. No need for booting from ethernet in those cases, 
and if you have console access there is little need to be physically 
present when you're upgrading..
