Hi all,
How many of you out there are running GRES on an M20? Have you
experienced any problems with running it? We've recently been having a
spat of what both we and JTAC believed to be hardware problems, but are
not so sure now.
It seems that if 'redundancy' is configured in the router, bringing FPCs
online fails. The router either continues cycling the FPCs and on
occasion, will end up causing either an RE or SSB mastership switch. If
we remove either the redundancy config or one of the REs, the router
boots fine. We're running 7.5R2 and I don't see any conflicts between
the PICs we're using and I don't believe we're subject to the previous
conflict between BFD and GRES.
I've already got a case open with JTAC, but it seems that those
hard-working JTAC guys/gals are always going on vacation soon after I
open my cases! Must be nice!!!
Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone out there who can offer any advice.
Eric Van Tol
