Hi

Am using junos 7.6  ( M5 ).

Am sending a bootstrap msg from my application ( ipv6 bootstrap router
) and junier is not forwarding the bootstrap msg to its outgoing
interface.

Got the following in debug –

Aug 10 17:18:44 PIM fe-0/3/0.0 RECV fe80::270:69ff:feb2:f411 ->
ff02::d V2 Bootstrap sum 0x788e len 72

Aug 10 17:18:44    tag 0 masklen 126 priority 255 bootstrap router 3ffe:9::10

Aug 10 17:18:44       group ff0e:1::2 count 1 fragcount 1

Aug 10 17:18:44          rp address 3ffe:9::10 holdtime 60 priority 0

Aug 10 17:18:44 PIM Bootstrap not enabled on fe-0/3/0.0

Have the following configuration at Juniper :

I have enable pim-sparse mode in three interface and enable ipv6 . Am
sending bootstrap msg to the link local address of one of the
PIM-Interface. Juniper debug says .. PIM neighbor correctly . Did not
introduce any policy to block / filter bootstrap. Only I'vr added a
static route to rp ( global address ).

Please help me in providing solution why Juiper is not our boostrap .

Regards,

subhajit
