Our REs are physically labelled RE-400s, but come up on 'show chassis'
as RE-5.0. God only knows why.

For the record, the memory they require is PC133, unbuffered ECC. I've
just installed a batch of Crucial memory into ours (specifically
http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/partspecs.asp?imodule=CT32M72S4D7E&WSMD=CT32M72S4D7E&WSPN=CT32M72S4D7E)
and they're working like a charm (so far... :)). Nothing untoward
showing up in dmesg (ie h/w scrubbing still active) and it seems to be
using the memory happily.
