I just looked at the logs from the latest SW upgrade, and VRRP 
mastership is switched back after a bit over 8 minutes after OSPF 
adjacencies have been established (with preempt hold-time 600), so 
this seems to be working as expected at least in our scenario in 7.5SR 
or so.
