Hi,
The VRF configuration mode i can set the maximum-routes command which limits
the maximum number of routes that a PE router imports into a VRF from the
associated CE routers.
Lets say i configure a maximum count of 10.
I would inject all the 10 routes. Assume that the CE now advertises the 11th
route.
The PE would reject this route and would not inject this in its RIB. What
will happen if i now delete a previously announced route from the CE router.
Will the PE now automatically inject that 11th route that the CE had
announced earlier?
Does the PE in other words, keep track of what all routes have been
advertised in excess to the maximum-routes or does it simply reject them.
If its the latter then how can the PE recieve and inject those routes again
in the RIB? The CE would not advertise them again as it has already done it
once.
Thanks,
Abhishek.
