[j-nsp] Chassis alarms

Hi all,
Does anyone know if the chassis alarm configurations work on CT3 or T1s
on CT3 interfaces?  I cannot seem to get the chassis to generate an
alarm if any errors are detected on either one of these interface types.
Here's my configuration:

admin at m20# show chassis alarm 
management-ethernet {
    link-down ignore;
}
t3 {
    lof red;
}
ds1 {
    ais yellow;
}

{master}[edit]
admin at m20#
