[j-nsp] [Fwd: How to upgrade from Junos4.01]

Juan,

A couple of things jump out at me. First the size of
your internal flash is quite small and that's what's
going to be used (not the HDD) for the upgrade
process. Second you're trying to upgrade from 4.x to
7.x using a jbundle (this will not work). You should
use a jinstall image when going between versions and
jbundle when upgrading within the same version. I
believe your best bet would be to back up the
configuration, get the 7.x version loaded on the
removable pcmcia flash card (instructions found on
Juniper's web site on the download page), upgrade via
the pcmcia card, and then load your configuration back
on the router. You could potentially clean up the
contents on the internal flash but that's risky
business unless you know what you're doing. And the
last option I can think of is to get your RE/internal
flash upgraded.

Hths.
