[j-nsp] ERX RSVP configuration

Hi,

I'm trying to add an ERX box to an existing M series network.
The network uses RSVP for label distribution.

RSVP lsp does not come up.
When looking at the ERX logs  and show commands it complains for the  
following:

MPLS minor interface london (transmit)
   Operational state is down (interface does not have a location)
   Could not retrieve statistics for interface (MPLS minor interface  
does not
have a location)

There is also this message in the log

WARNING 03/05/2007 15:57:33 rsvpGeneral (default):  
doRsvpSessionCreate failed, status: no RSVP-TE on nexthop intf



The most alarming issue is, when I'm enabling mpls on gig 5/0.5 the  
configuration is accepted.
However, when I tried to enable it on gig 5/0 itself (the main  
interface rather then the subinterface), I get the following message:

b-ras(config-if)#mpls
% cannot create MPLS major interface because line card is not present  
or line
card does not support MPLS
b-ras(config-if)#


Is it possible that the line card really does not support MPLS?
