We bought all our RE-400s (RE-5.0 as identified by "show chassis
hardware") with 768 MB of memory, and that is fine for the current
full Internet routing table. Our rpd is about 250 MByte.

Nowadays we tend to buy our M7is with RE-850 which has 1.5 GByte by
default.
