Hi,
"The domain ID
allows the receiving PE router to advertise routes as either Type 3 or
Type 5 LSAs." JNCIS Study Guide, P-631.
i.e. it is used locally by the PE and compared against the Domain ID
value received in the MBGP advertisements. The Domain ID attribute
received in the MBGP advertisements is set by other PE(s) via the
domain-id community using an export policy.
