MPLS depends on label switched paths (LSPs). These LSPs can be implicit
(using LDP to signal the LSPs) or explicit (using RSVP to signal the
LSPs).

Thus it would be correct to say that MPLS depends on LDP *or* RSVP. It
also depends on your IGP, and (if you use MPLS for L3VPNs and several
other things) on BGP.
