[j-nsp] Juniper 10GE XFP

On the MX, as of yet no incompatibilites. My problems have been with the
EX... Twitchy thing that, and interestingly enough the fact that an XFP
works in a EX3200 does not mean it will work in an EX4200...

Can you share the vendors that didn't work in the MX/T series? I
haven't run into a problem with MRV and Cisco(Finistar) optics in the
MX.

The EX is a different animal, I think there is only support for DOM on
the XFP ports unlike the MX where it is supported on all the SFP and XFP
ports. Also, I think DOM support is recent (10.0?) on the EX.

Thanks,

Jay

Oh, haven't seen that on our MX. Let's hope that is just
incompatibilities, because that I have seen with different vendors. On
some vendors DOM works and on others it doesn't (or gives strange
values)...

FWIW, I've seen this behavior (no DOM support for non-JNPR optics)
also
on
MX and T series.
