Hi!

Another story about ex-series and counters: packets that is
dropped due to lack of buffer space is not reported neither
in Output errors nor as ifOutDiscards:

snar at us-sjc-csw01> show interfaces ge-0/0/3 extensive
Physical interface: ge-0/0/3, Enabled, Physical link is Up
[...]
  Statistics last cleared: 2010-03-24 01:29:02 PDT (1w5d 02:53 ago)
[...]
  Output errors:
    Carrier transitions: 0, Errors: 0, Drops: 0, Collisions: 0, Aged packets: 0, FIFO errors: 0, HS link CRC errors: 0,
    MTU errors: 0, Resource errors: 0
  Queue counters: Queued packets Transmitted packets Dropped packets
    0 best-effort                    0            363320017                 2131

snar at us-sjc-csw01> show snmp mib walk .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1 | match 140
ifIndex.140   = 140
ifDescr.140   = ge-0/0/3
[...]
ifOutOctets.140 = 2774285894
ifOutOctets.144 = 1407151110
ifOutUcastPkts.140 = 2951634080
ifOutNUcastPkts.140 = 523582805
ifOutDiscards.140 = 0
ifOutErrors.140 = 0
ifOutQLen.140 = 0

That's from EX-3200 running 9.3R4.4, the same error still present in 9.3S7.2.

Does anybody knows if it fixed in more recent JunOS ?

PS: JTAC-EX is not able to answer this question for a three weeks
(#2010-0314-00NN).
