[j-nsp] local VS direct routes?

Hi all,

I am new on this list and new to Juniper. Currently I'm following several Juniper courses to get known with Juniper devices.

One thing we can't seem to figure out is the difference between local and direct routes. (both same '0' preference).

Does anyone know why there is specified local and direct rather than just local or direct?
