I assume you've tried the obvious and doing:

gigether-options {
   no-auto-negotiation;
}

Without setting the:

speed 1g;
link-mode full-duplex;

Just doing no-auto-negotiation by itself should work. Also make sure
RSTP is turned off on the port, it notoriously has a fit if PVST+ is
enabled on the Cisco side.
