Luis,

As a follow up to my response, I believe you are supposed to do a 
"delete chassis redundancy" and "commit sync" on the master RE before 
doing the upgrade if GRES is enabled.

I'm not sure if this will stop some of the bad behavior Richard 
mentioned or not, but I don't think it can hurt.
