Try this;
Set chassis fpc 1 pic 0 tunnel-services
You can set bandwidth reservation for the tunnel or set it as a dedicated tunnel pic under that stanza aswell.

Subject: [j-nsp] GRE on MX platform without Multiservices DPC?
Does anyone know how to configure a GRE tunnel on the MX platform withOUT
a Multiservices DPC?
I *thought* that you can somehow "steal" resources from a line card to
create a GRE tunnel on the MX, but I have not found an example of how to
do that. I do not need much bandwidth, so the Multiservices DPC is just
overkill for this application.
I can create a "gr" interface in the config, but after commiting the
config the "gr" interface does not show up:
[edit interface gr-1/0/1]
unit 0 {
tunnel {
source 192.168.0.1;
destination 192.168.1.1;;
}
family inet {
address 10.0.0.1/30;
}
}
> show interfaces gr-1/0/1
error: device gr-1/0/1 not found
I know that you can build a "logical tunnel" to create connections within
a router, but I need a GRE tunnel to connect to an external router. Are
the methods similar?
Any ideas?
