I don't think it's terribly shocking :-). Corporate 
responsibility from the vendors, for me, would be to simply 
push boxes that do more for the price. They can certainly do 
it, particular for pure MPLS switching roles. I'm happy if 
they don't donate to my charity, just give me that US$10,000 
box which will forward 40Gbps of MPLS traffic.

Like Chris Rock said about the bumper on GM's El Dorado back 
in the 90's, "They won't do anything that f'ing dumb!"
