[j-nsp] EX4500 dot1q-tunneling layer2-protocol-tunneling (L2PT)

Hello,

I finally succeeded in getting dot1q-tunneling with L2PT working over
VPLS and a mixed Juniper/Cisco switch infrastructure. The switching
path goes like this:

test-server1 -- EX4200 -- MX960 == MX960 == MX960 -- EX4500 -- Cisco3560 -- test-server2

--- Q-in-Q Tunneling with L2PT
=== VPLS

I tried to forward LLDP/CDP traffic to test the tunneling.

I had it all working except the EX4500 which for no apparent reason
didn't forward the LLDP/CDP packets.

I then read in the release notes that dot1q tunneling with L2PT is
only supported in JunOS >= 11.2 on EX4500:

(Why it isn't supported on EX8200 is beyond me)

So I upgraded to 11.2R5.4 but still no success. The EX4500 wouldn't
forward the packets.

The solution?

I had to configure

set vlans qinq-vlan dot1q-tunneling layer2-protocol-tunneling all

on the EX4500 even though it was just TRANSPORTING the packets!

Suddenly it all works.

On Cisco the frames are just forwarded as expected. I can't imagine
why Juniper would drop these frames when they just had to enter on one
port and exit on another port.
