Interesting...
MX80 running 11.4R6.5 - takes about 5-7 minutes to come online, load BGP
tables and fully converge as a reference point:
inet.0: 446697 destinations, 609039 routes (446678 active, 13 holddown, 17
hidden)
Direct: 21 routes, 21 active
Local: 20 routes, 20 active
OSPF: 2324 routes, 2306 active
BGP: 606641 routes, 444309 active
Static: 3 routes, 3 active
IGMP: 1 routes, 1 active
Aggregate: 10 routes, 4 active
RSVP: 19 routes, 14 active
inet.3: 14 destinations, 14 routes (14 active, 0 holddown, 0 hidden)
RSVP: 14 routes, 14 active
mpls.0: 19 destinations, 19 routes (19 active, 0 holddown, 0 hidden)
MPLS: 3 routes, 3 active
RSVP: 8 routes, 8 active
L2VPN: 4 routes, 4 active
VPLS: 4 routes, 4 active
inet6.0: 79743 destinations, 83769 routes (79741 active, 1 holddown, 5
hidden)
Direct: 18 routes, 11 active
Local: 16 routes, 16 active
OSPF3: 82 routes, 82 active
BGP: 83653 routes, 79632 active
bgp.l2vpn.0: 4 destinations, 4 routes (4 active, 0 holddown, 0 hidden)
BGP: 4 routes, 4 active
I don't recall ever seeing any errors though as you describe...

Combined Full-Table from a few iBGP peers and around 70k routes from an IXP.
Approx. 700k Routes in RIB.
