Well that blows, Thanks Juniper! I am in the same predicament!  Also
just a FYI on that version of junos we saw a memory leak where over
2-3 days the control plane would eat all the ram. X45-D10 had similar
results.  I really would be tickled pink if they added vlan tagging to
11.4 for branch SRX for the VDSL2 pim as thats why we have to run 12.1
Have you looked to see if indeed the ram is soldered in or if its
SODIMM's ?
