Hi list,
I'm out of date and looking to get an feel for the current practice
regarding RSVP aggressive preemption in a network with a lot of
aggregated links (LAGs).
Is this still the thing to do?
Does this work safely, or even work as expected, in conjunction with
'soft preemption'? And is that something people use?
That is if aggressive preemption with soft preemption is enable, once a
LAG member (or members) are dropped, the preempted LSPs will be given a
PathErr with a Reroute and a chance to establish a new path in a
make-before-break fashion. At the cost that your LAG may be congested
until this is complete.
Thanks for all help.
Cheers :)
Kris
