By default xe-0/1/2 and xe-0/1/3 are reserved for VCP. 
So when you do "show interface terse" , you don't show them, but you 
show vcp interface instead. 

You can use these interface with the following command : 

request virtual-chassis vc-port delete pic-slot 1 port 2 
request virtual-chassis vc-port delete pic-slot 1 port 3
