Hi Yes !
By changing parameters in the boot/loader.conf you can change certain
behavior
vm_chassis_i2cid="21" for MX960, "33" for MX480, and "48" for MX240
vm_ore_present=0 for a single RE; vm_ore_present=1 for dual REs
vm_instance=0 for the the RE, the first FPC slot; vm_instance=1 for
second FPC
slot, and so on (not applicable to RE)
Lets say, you want to run 1 RE and 1 FPC on slot 0 (you can run 2 REs and
up to 12 FPCs if
you emulate an MX960)
However the real imitation is somewhere else namely that VMware only allow
up to 10 interfaces on one VM
I think that currently this is not officially supported but as far as I know
Juniper plans to allow up to 2 REs and up to ?(3 and more) separate PFE
instances
With best regards
alexander

Hello everyone,
Is there someone who is familiar with vMX?
I have installed vMX under VMWARE and I wanted to know if it's possible to
add more than one FPC.
I could find any documentation about that.
Thanks.
