It seems a bit surprising that the MX204 is so much cheaper than a line
card for the MX480.

A line card based on the MX204 would obviously only have half the
capacity, since it would have to use the other half for the
fabric. Still, it would be VERY attractive.

As far as I can tell, the only similar card for the "classic" modular
MX's is the MPC7, which is something like ten times(!) the list price.
