IIRC, multicast topology don't have to match unicast topology. I 
probably wouldn't mess up with trying to split the topology on access 
level, but what if on the router that serves as default GW for STBs you 
have static default for multicast pointing to the current network core 
and a default route for unicast traffic pointing to CGNAT box. If your 
multicast sources are fixed, then you probably use more specific routes 
for them.
