Description:
The appointed PM will oversee and manage major Juniper Professional Services projects in the Global Services Group. Juniper PS projects include core, aggregation, routing and security network design, deployment, integration and support.  Key customers are typically Service provider and Large Enterprise. 

Major Responsibilities include: 
 
• Oversee, plan and coordinate all aspects of the overall PS project(s), End-2-End. 
• Act as the principal liaison between Juniper, Customer and Partners 
• Assist with scoping projects, creating and agreeing SOW’s, project plans, acceptance criteria, etc. 
• Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. 
• Monitor and report overall status and progress of the project to various parties 
• Define deliverables for clients. 
• Prepare/Review deliverables to the client.
• Monitor and report on commercial aspects of the project to Juniper PS Management 
• Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
   Identify resource and equipment need.
• Manage risks and issues for all aspects of project delivery and manage a team of technical consultants, engineers and 3rd party resources
• Manages day-to-day client interaction.Resource 
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately 
  Ensures project standard is maintained and process followed
• Achieve customer acceptance 
• Work with any other internal Juniper departments to ensure smooth delivery, hand-over and ongoing support 
• Work with key Juniper groups to identify further business opportunities with the customer 
• Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction
• Facilitate status meetings with project team.
• Keep project team well informed of changes in schedule and deliverables.
• Communicate relevant project risks and deliverables up the chain.
• Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
• Thorough understanding of team capabilities.
  Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and potential new client engagements.

 
Background / Skills 
• Proven track record of leading and managing major customer projects in the Networking/IT industry 
• Suitable level of understanding of router technology 
• Suitable level of understanding of solution testing, and test design.
• Experience in working with large Service Providers, in a ‘technical environment’ 
• Strong customer management and negotiation skills 
• Strong commercial awareness 
• Understanding of customer organizational and process infrastructures 
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience 
• Experience with using Project Management tools and methodologies
