Job Overview
The Sr. Services Integration Test Manager’s primary responsibility is to provide subject matter expertise on qualifying Juniper Networks products and manage the systems integration test team.
Role and Responsibilities
A Juniper Networks Services Integration Test Sr. Manager will be responsible for optimization and implementation services in the design, configuration, integration, migration, and evaluation of existing networks.  This person will have hands-on management of the systems integration test team, setting team priorities, providing technical direction, and ensuring integration test deliverables meet agreed upon timelines with pre-established quality metrics for the customer.
Requirements
•	Design, implement and manage a solutions test process for full technical evaluation of Juniper solutions including process structure, quality objectives, resource requirements, lab infrastructure requirements, linked metrics, and reporting.
•	Initiate and manage testing partnerships with supplier and partner vendors – including lab entry criteria, metrics tracking and feedback process (process to include interactions with internal business groups).
•	Work with partner technologies, both hardware and software, in the development and validation of solutions.
•	Build and conduct proof-of-concept tests to support sales.
•	Technical design subject matter expert for delivery teams
•	Drive the definition of test configurations and scenarios to support system integration testing by applying theories, concepts, and principals in identifying customer needs and defining application-specific systems integration requirements.
•	Liaison between customer and various engineering groups within Juniper Networks.
•	Analyze, evaluate, and communicate test results and participate in reviews with customers
•	Assign duties, set priorities, provide technical leadership, and mentor integration test team engineers
•	Manage technical resources within budget and project schedule and contribute to identifying, quantifying, and mitigating risk
•	Communicate and enforce technical standards and conformance to configuration management and other engineering policies and procedures
•	Provide input to the program office for integration test deliverables and timelines
•	Work closely with the development team, program office, and customers in identifying required tests
•	Help develop and implement test processes and procedures
•	Provide leadership and is responsible for staff performance management and development, ensuring that assigned team members meet or exceed goals.
•	Make decisions on operating procedures and analytical approaches.
•	Provide customer with assistance, guidance, and advice to ensure good practices in standard integration methodologies and processes.
•	Determine integration test environment hardware and software requirements and supports the setup and installation of test lab equipment and software to simulate the customer solution production environment.
•	Design, develop, review, and maintain technical and project documentation associated with all projects proposed for testing.
•	Participate in architecting and building end-to-end solutions environment and conducting solution integration and validation tests.  Duties include producing guides for solutions design and implementation.
•	Translate, transfer and disseminate acquired customer solution knowledge to both internal and external customers through the creation of white papers, presentations, customer briefings and EBC roundtables.
•	Provide technical consulting support for field sales and partners.
•	Develop tools, interfaces, or wrappers to support integration across multiple management interfaces.
•	Establish, operate, and maintain a test lab system configuration log to accurately reflect various installed and test configuration baselines.

Required Skills/Experience:
•	10+years experience in test laboratories for communications infrastructure and client facing experience
•	6+ years management and proven team leadership experience at the manager, senior manager or Director level.
•	Significant expertise in technical product validation and testing.  
•	Technical knowledge of IP Networking and Mobile networks with a focus on service provider experience
•	Detailed knowledge of test automation tools and software tools, including expertise in the development of customized test harnesses.
•	Must be experienced in leading test organizations, designing effective test certification process, design of functionality, scale and interoperability tests environments, and exceptional knowledge of test automation techniques for communications technical infrastructure testing.   
•	Ability to lead a multifunctional team of test engineers
•	Strong problem solving ability and critical thinking  with an emphasis on written and verbal communication skills 
•	Self starter with ability to define, lead and model role within Juniper technical community and externally with customers and exhibits grace under pressure
•	Collaborative team player.
•	Experience with systems engineering lifecycle, site commissioning, and customer deployment support and hardware and software development practices and lifecycles
•	Experience with formal hardware and software version control and defect tracking
•	Demonstrated skills in planning and implementing complex systems test and integration
•	Ability to assess the impact of new or changing requirements on planned or existing complex projects
•	Adapts readily to changes in scope and purpose
•	Excellent understanding of Internet protocol suites 
•	Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously 
•	BS or MS degree in Electrical engineering or computer science

Desired Technical Experience:
•	Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of more than one of the following products: Juniper Networks, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent
•	Knowledge of Juniper JUNOS and Cisco IOS
•	Detailed understanding of IP protocols.  These skills MUST include:
•	TCP/UDP Layer 3/4 header and behavior 
•	IP subnetting and supernetting and hierarchical routing principles 
•	Routing protocol operation and interaction (RIP-2, OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP-4)
•	Routing protocol (IGP and BGP) design principles and scaling techniques 
•	Routing policies at BGP peering points
•	Detailed understanding of more than one Layer 2 protocol:
•	Ethernet (FE/GE/10GE) 
•	Frame Relay 
•	DS0 – DS3 
•	PPP, PPPoE, and PPPoA , HDLC
•	Experience with 3G/4G and/or WiMAX/WiFi networks.  Mobile core networking (both data and VoIP) also key for the successful candidate.  
•	UNIX and scripting skills (shell, PERL, Python, PHP) a plus.
•	Understanding QOS provisioning systems or policy managers is a plus.
•	Experience with VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (L2TP, IPSEC, GRE) is a plus.
