[nsp-sec] Did anyone else see this? -- Internet failure hits two continents

Strangely enough, Dell has (had) a massive call center (roughly 1200 employees) in Edmonton, AB Canada.  I just saw news today that the call center is being shutdown.

The news report also said that the Edmonton call center was the "highest performing" group for Dell.

Why is it being shutdown?  Apparently because of how difficult (and expensive) it is to hire people in this region.
